DIGITAL Microcredit Limited*> is a microfinance institution licensed and
regulated by the Reserve Bank of Malawi and registered under Company’s Act.
Our core business is extending credit and loans to the marginalized and
vulnerable sections of the society with a special focus on youth and women.
Duration of initial contract Two years renewable based on performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
> Overall management, monitoring and supervision of day to day financial and accounting operations
> Ensuring compliance and adherence to internal controls and international accounting standards
> Maintenance of financial records, wage bill preparations and bank reconciliations.
> Preparing and managing cash flows, budgets, forecasts and expenditures
> Preparation of general financial reports and project specific reports
> Maintenance of fixed asset register and reporting.
> Any other duties as assigned from time to time.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS INCLUDE
> Knowledge of statutory compliance requirements
> Proficiency nm accounting and relevant computer packages such as ACCPAC, QuickBooks and SAGE
> Previous experience in book keeping and preparation for internal and external financial audits
QUALIFICATIONS
> Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
> Professional accounting certification with ACCA/CIMA, those registered with ICAM will have an added advantage.
> No previous work experience required.
