VACANCIES
ZOMBA DISTRICT COUNCIL
Zomba District Council with support from the American people through US Agency
for International Development (USAID), will over the Course of three years,
implement critical health and social welfare activities at the district level
and contribute to the improvement of HIV/AIDS, maternal and child health
(MCH), Family Planning (FP), Nutrition and Social Welfare service celivery in
Zomba district. To achieve the intended objectives of the government to
government agreement, Zomba District Council intends to hire additional Health
Care and Support Staff workers.
The Council therefore invites suitably qualified Malawians to fill the
following vacant positions existing in Zomba
Post Pharmacy Assistant (Grade L)
Salary Within Grade L salary scale segment
Age limit Not older than 40 years
Qualifications
Applicants must be non-serving officers in possession of Certificate in
Pharmacy from accredited institution and registered with Medical Council of
Malawi.
Duties
1\. Checking drug stocks and making orders from the store.
2\. Prepacking drugs ready for dispensing
3\. Receiving prescriptions from out and in-patients and checking dosage and
prescription particulars.
4\. Issuing required medicine to patients and giving instructions on how to
use and store
5\. Ensure correct drug storage.
6\. Management of pharmaceutical supplies for Hospital for departments
7\. Monitor drugs using HMIS tools and guidelines and report to the designated
supervisor
8\. Cleaning of pharmacy floors, wiping benches and dusting stock containers.
Employment Terms
Successful candidates should be willing to be deployed in rural health
facilities
