Satemwa Estates

AMG Global’s Client, Satemwa Estates, a grower of Tea and Coffee in the Shire
Highlands of Malawi, and an exporter of unique artisanal lines of teas and
coffees, seeks to engage an Office Administrator.

The position is tenable in Thyolo, Malawi.

MAIN JOB PURPOSE

Coordinating office activities and operations to secure efficiency and
compliance to company policies. Ensure smooth running of the company’s offices
and contribute in driving for sustainable growth. Provide specific support to
the Managing Director in a personal assistant role.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate Office Activities and Operations
• Maintain an agenda and diary for all senior managers.
• Maintain an agenda and diary for all important weekly, monthly, quarterly
company meetings.
• Prepare daily schedule for the Managing Director including meetings and
commitments.
• Handle general incoming and outgoing mails, including emails.
• Support the Management Accountant in keeping office equipment running and in
good order.
• Maintain non-financial records and have them accessible at all times.
• Handle all general office correspondent
• Assist accounts as may be required from time to time.

Data Entry Create and update records and databases with financial and other
data Compile reports as required by the Managing Director + Maintain a log of
all contracts issued.

Other duties Ensure that equipment is kept clean and serviceable and in
working order + arrange for repair of equipment as necessary for smooth
functioning of department.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES
• Post school relevant advanced diploma in Business Administration, or related
subject + at least 5 years’ experience at a similar busy professional office.
• Strong oral and written communication skills + Outstanding interpersonal
abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure to deliver within strict timelines + Work
irregular hours with a strong work ethic + Valid clean driving licence +
Ability to multitask + Excellent computer skills.
