### Job Description

The Bantwana Initiative of World Education Inc. (WEI/Bantwana) seeks a
qualified Clinical Referrals and Linkages Program Officer for the USAID funded
Ana Patsologo Activity (APA), a project aimed at preventing new HIV infections
and reducing the vulnerability of orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) and
adolescent girls and young women (AGYW). WEI/Bantwana is a leader in OVC
programming and organizational capacity development in high HIV prevalence
countries in southern and eastern Africa.

Job Summary

The Program Officer – Clinical Referrals and Linkages supports strengthening
of HIV Case Management implementation, with a focus on health
facility/community linkage aspects of Ana Patsogolo in 8 districts in the
Southern Region of Malawi. The role is critical in collaboration, coordination
and building relationships with clinical partners and service providers to
improve bi-directional referrals and therefore improving HIV/GBV/VAC reduction
and response services including uptake in ART, and improved adherence and
viral load suppression for OVC and AGYW. This position will report to the
Technical Specialist Clinical Referrals and Linkages and will have the
following responsibilities

Specific Responsibilities and Duties

> Support Partner collaboration and coordination activities related to APA clinical referrals and linkages.
> Coordinate work planning, case management training, assessments, materials development and distribution activities ensuring that all activities are properly and timely performed and that outputs are accomplished and delivered according to the agreed work plans.
> Work closely with project technical staff and subgrantee partners to oversee clinical-community referral coordination in target districts.
> In collaboration with the project technical staff, monitor project activities to ensure fidelity of implementation.
> Liaise with partners, and relevant stakeholders regarding the project activities and policies and contribute toward formulating these policies and interventions; troubleshooting and problem solving.
> Participate in all relevant planning, implementation, and management of project meetings, workshops, and training.
> Generate monthly and quarterly and annual technical reports.
> Perform any other activity as assigned by technical staff.

Qualifications

> Degree in health, social work and social administration, development studies, guidance and counseling, or related fields from a recognized institution.
> At least two years of experience working with an international NGO.
> Experience with bi-directional clinical referrals/HIV service provider linkages for vulnerable populations preferred.
> Relevant experience in documentation, reporting and records management is a requirement.
> Excellent writing skills.
> Good communication skills and ability to communicate in the local and national languages.
> Computer skills with expertise in PowerPoint, Word, Excel.
