About the Basel Institute on Governance

The Basel Institute on Governance is an international and independent not-for-
profit organisation working worldwide with the public and private sectors to
counter corruption and other financial crimes and to improve the quality of
governance. Registered as a Swiss foundation with headquarters in Basel, the
Institute operates globally and maintains field operations in Africa, Eastern
Europe and Latin America.

The Basel Institute is an Associated Institute of the University of Basel.

Opportunity to join our network of consultants

The Basel Institute on Governance wishes to grow its network of Malawi-based
experts to contribute to work in the following fields

> Public sector procurement
> Transparency initiatives in government reform
> Business integrity, private and public sector collaboration
> Organisational development
> Public financial management
> Monitoring and evaluation
> Research and learning
> Political economy analysis
> Social accountability, including social audits, participatory monitoring, community scorecards etc.

Qualifications

> Consultants must have a university degree (with a postgraduate qualification strongly preferred) and a minimum of five years’ experience working in a relevant field.
> Senior Consultants will have a PhD and/or 10-15 years’ experience in a relevant field. All consultants require strong English writing skills.
