POSITION UPG PROJECT ASSISTANTS / FACILITATORS (3 POSTS)
Islamic Relief Worldwide ORM is a UK based International humanitarian and
development organization working in 40 countries.
Islamic Relief Malawi is looking for competent candidates to fill the
following position
POSITION UPG PROJECT ASSISTANTS / FACILITATORS (3 POSTS)
(Blantyre Field based)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
•Contribute to the targeting and selection of ultra-poor families and help
assess family basic needs and guide them to link with appropriate social
protection mechanisms.
•Monitor participant progress through individual meetings to ensure that they
are on track to meet Graduation outcomes.
•Monitor families progress via individual meetings to ensure they are on track
to meet Graduation outcomes.
•Train Graduation participants (targeted families) at different points in the
project on key topics including livelihood management, financial literacy,
positive savings behavior, positive health-seeking behavior, equitable gender
norms life skills (social and health messaging), among others
•Mentor participants, boost confidence, and encourage positive world views and
coping mechanisms
•Link participants with basic services including health, education, safety
nets, and support structures
•Liaise with local stakeholders for effective implementation of the project
and support in reporting
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
•University Degree or Diploma in Community Development desired, such as social
work and other development-related qualifications.
•2-year previous work with community organizations with tested and proven
social mobilization skills.
•Willingness to promote economic empowerment of ultra-poor.
•Excellent facilitation, training and communication skills and willingness to
work in a diverse team.
