Malawi National Examinations Board
The Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) is a parastatal organization
established by an Act of Parliament to conduct such academic and other
examinations at the conclusion of any approved course in Malawi as it may be
considerable in the public interest and award certificates to successful
candidates in such examinations.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified, highly motivated, team
players and results driven candidates for consideration to fill the position
of Senior Supplies Officer (M5).
Duties and responsibilities
> Supervising staff in the supplies section
> Coordinating stores operations
> Ensuring that storekeeping procedures are adhered to in the stores section<\/li>\n<li>A member of Internal Procurement and Disposal of Assets Committee
> Participate in the end to end tender process
> Managing the process of boarding off items (Disposal of Assets)
> Process purchase requisitions/ orders within purchasing authority
> Validate orders received and outstanding stock orders, analyse and reconcile reorder requests; liaise with appointed suppliers/ service providers to ensure the timely and accurate completion of orders
> Supervise physical stocktaking and inventory control
> Monitor stock flows and discrepancies, and prepare report
> Provide effective and timely planning, oversight, management and coordination of supply support operations
> Pro-active role in developing new business cases in supply area and providing active participation in projects affecting the organisations operation
> Provide inputs to the annual budget
> Ensure availability of supplies by maintaining a comprehensive inventory of supplies
> Training stores staff
> Recommending disposal of scrapped/boarded off items and redundant materials
Qualifications and experience
> Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management or professional qualification in Supply Chain Management (CIPS Level 6)
> At least four years relevant experience in a reputable establishment
Abilities, Attributes and Skills
> Ability to work with minimum supervision
> Must be of high integrity and trustworthy
> Must be able to pay attention to detail
> Must have communication, computer, numeracy and analytical skills
