The role is responsible for managing sales resources and driving business
growth for Bayer’s integrated crop protection and seeds offering in the
demarcated sales region within the country, to achieve the set commercial
goals. The role holder acts as a main point of contact for farmers, channel
partners, and other key stakeholders in the demarcated sales area, and
coordinates activities within the company to ensure customer needs are met.

Key Responsibilities

· Guide the sales team in sales area and develop their capabilities to enable
their development, productivity, effective customer engagement, and
satisfactory delivery of customer value and business results.

· Develop ambitious and consistent sales plan for the area in line with
country objectives and G2M strategy.

· Ensure delivery of forecasted results according to KPIs and take timely and
matching corrective actions in case of deviations from the plan.

· Closely monitor market opportunities, risks, and changes in the competitive
environment, and actively share information with collaborating functions to
enable the business to respond effectively, adjust strategy and tactics.

· Provide agronomic support and advice to existing and prospective customers/
farmers across the main farmer market segments.

· Plan and deliver presentations through farmer/customer days and market
engagement activities.

· Provide after sales customer service (at distributor and farmer level) and
appropriate product stewardship support to build trust and increase customer
loyalty.

· Manage customer complaints including collecting customer complaints,
coordinating internal resolution mechanisms, and providing feedback to
customers on their complaints within a reasonable time.

· Effectively monitor seed and crop protection inventory at distributor/ agro-
dealer level to ascertain the level of inventory in the distribution channel
at any given time, and balance sell-in and sell-out.

· Take full accountability for debt collection from distributors/ agro-
dealers.

Academic Qualification Requirements

A bachelors degree in agriculture or crop science related fields.

Related Job Experience/Qualifications

· A minimum of 8 years of experience in sales, preferably in an agribusiness
environment. Strong knowledge and experience in agronomy is key for this role.

· A minimum of 3 years’ experience leading teams.

Additional Skills

· Strong customer focus and strategic mindset

· Excellent communication and presentation skills. Fluency in English, oral
and written, is required.

· Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision.

· Ability to work well in a team.

· Results orientation.

· Ability to follow rules and with high ethical values.

· Licensed driver.
