### Job Description

PSI Malawi is affiliated to Population Service International, a Washington DC
based non-governmental and nonprofit making organization. PSI Malawi mission
is to support low income and at risk Malawians to lead healthier lives through
the provision and promotion of quality products and services, in line with the
Government of Malawi goals. To accomplish its mission, PSI Malawi is inviting
applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacant
position;

_Title:_ *> _Reproductive Health Demand Creation Supervisor_ *> __

_Location: Dedza and Machinga_

__Reports To:_ _ *> __Reproductive Health Demand Creation Coordinator_ _

Reporting to the RH Demand Creation Coordinator, the incumbent will be
required to perform the following duties and responsibilities;

> Implement the actions derived from the demand creation strategy
> Support community mobilizers, Community Based Distribution Agents and Health Surveillance Assistants in their day-to-day demand creation activities.
> Provides community mobilisers with adequate supplies to support them in demand creation activities
> Lead in the recruitment of community mobilisers
> Train the identified community mobilisers on demand creation strategies, key messages and skills for community mobilization Develop monthly demand creation work plan and share with coordinators, community mobilisers and district partners
> Evaluate and report the periodic performance of subordinates and provide the regular feedback and support to improve their performance.
> Coordinate communication and demand creation activities within the communities and target districts
> Conduct site mapping and analyze clients’ dynamics and needs to better target service delivery.
> Support the community structures in demand creation activities in their communities community meetings
> Provides weekly and monthly reports to Demand Creation Coordinator on all activities conducted with a special focus on what works and impact of activities
> Coordinate activities with the team leader to ensure all clients mobilized are served, in the right manner, in a conducive environment
> Identify and document success stories and lessons learnt and share with the Demand Creation Coordinator
> Supervise community mobilisers/CBDAs for quality and adherence to applicable policies and standards. (MOH guidelines and informed choice)
> Coordinate with Youth Alert Officers and Youth club leaders to ensure that youths access SRH services.

Qualification, Knowledge, Ability and Skills _

> Applicants must have a Diploma in Communication, Community Development or Public Health or any relevant field with at least 3 years’ experience in implementing community mobilization and engagement, behavior change communication programs that result in uptake of service. Those with a medical background will have an added advantage.
> Good interpersonal communication and analytical skills
> Ability to develop analytical processes and tracking methods as regards to demand creation
> Good experience in working with different teams
> Excellent understanding of young people and their needs
> Excellent oral and written communication skills
> Good facilitation and strong leadership skills
> Be self-starter, effective team player and demonstrated verifiable result-oriented track records.
> Must have a clean driving license.
