Mwaiwathu Private Hospital invites applications from suitably qualified and
experienced candidates for the position of Maintenance Team Leader (1
position) tenable at the Hospital along, Chileka Road in Blantyre.
Position Context*>
The Maintenance Team Leader will be key in the day to day running of hospital
maintenance work. He/She will be directly involved in preventive maintenance
of equipment and ensure adherence to schedule.
Specific duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to
> Providing supervision to the maintenance team.
> Provide effective upkeep of hospital equipment in liaison with Departmental Heads and Management
> Preparation of Maintenance budget and ensure adherence.
> Develop preventive maintenance plans for all equipment and execute adherence.
> Daily supervision of the Oxygen Plant to ensure its effective performance.
> To Monitor Oxygen consistent supply to all critical sections of the hospital.
> Supervision of all outsourced contractors from time to time to ensure quality in the service delivery is maintained
> Conduct regular inspection and attend to faults in a timely manner at all times.
> Compile monthly progress reports for management’s decision.
> To ensure there is a backup supply for power at all times to ensure continuity of service
Educational Qualifications and Experience
> Must have a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from a recognized Institution coupled with 2 years hands on experience. Those with an advanced Technician Diploma in Engineering from a recognized institution and body, coupled with 3 – 4 years’ hands on experience may apply.
Requisite knowledge, abilities and skill
> Good command of written and spoken English.
> Willingness to work odd hours.
> Must be a Self-starter, pro-active and honesty
> Strong Computer skills
> Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision.
> Must be very innovative
