The Farm

The Farm is a company that partners with grassroots smallholder farmers to
increase the productivity of their farms through livestock production. We
provide farmers with financing in the form of inputs, veterinary services,
training and market access.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following activities;

> Prepare work plans for all planned activities and ensure these are submitted to the operations lead for approval
> Select, screen and enrol farmer groups to join the program
> Conduct weekly field visits to train, support and monitor farmers on livestock production activities
> Submit daily and weekly KPI’s as requested by supervisor
> Conduct community mobilization and sensitization to ensure that community beneficiaries, leaders, other partners are aligned with the project
> Work with the community and other stakeholders to identify and address issues affecting field operations
> Compile monthly reports and other required information relating to the programme and submit to the Operations lead
> Network with other key partners – NGOs, CBOs, Government departments and key community members at district level to ensure that the programme is fully supported at community level.
> Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCES REQUIRED

> Diploma in Animal Science or Livestock production. Those with degree will have an added advantage
> Minimum of 2 years work experience working in livestock production
> Experience working with farmer groups or cooperatives
