RISK PARTNERSHIP AND COMPLIANCE MANAGER (Grade 16) ~ 1 Position- Based at the
National Office

Planning and Management
Develop annual risk assessment plan for World Vision Malawi
Facilitate the identification, measurement, assessment, monitoring, and
control of risks in World
Vision Malawi.
Training and Capacity Building
Conduct organization-wide training and awareness sessions on internal control
and risk sues.
Equip the organization to understand and manage their responsibilities in
terms of risk management and reporting,
Risk Monitoring and Reporting
Lead monitoring and reporting of deficiencies and material weaknesses in
internal controls and ensure that appropriate remedial actions are taken
Provide appropriate advice to SLT on risks WVM is willing or not willing to
take, in accordance with WVI values and beliefs
Support and monitor implementation of Audit recommendations.
Analyze common audit findings and propose internal control improvement
strategies in all projects to mitigate exposure.
Partnership Management
Conduct initial and detailed screening of prospective partners in line with
World Vision international Policies and procedures
Coordinate Finance and Programs independent due diligence assessments and
reviews of partners.
Monitor implementation of recommendations and relevant follow-up measures from
partner
assessment.
In consultation SLT support Partners in developing efficient and robust
internal controls and financial management systems.
Compliance Management
Conduct periodic reviews and assessments to determine World Vision’s
organisational compliance with policies, procedures and standards in relations
with Child Protection, Sponsorship, Design, Monitoring & Evaluation/LEAP, and
TD Policies and Standards; HEA, Admin, P&C, Security, Supply Chain, etc.
Conducts special reviews & investigations as directed by the ND and erasure
that internal controls are developed end implemented by various departments.
APs and Zones.
Keep abreast with risks arising from changes in relevance regulations and
recommend changes to policy and procedures in consultations with relevant
department heads and legal Advisor.
Integrated Incidence Management System (IIM & Ethics Point)
Evaluate and analyses new whistle-blower reports when received in accordance
with WVI
recommended criteria,
Conduct whistle-blower investigations and advise on appropriate action
Support WVM case managers in ensuring closure of IIM cases
Ensure ultimate accountability on conclusions of investigations
Required Qualifications, Knowledge Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Social Sciences, Business Management or its
equivalent. Those with MBA and ACCA qualifications will have an added
advantage.
Qualification in Enterprise Risk Management
An lease 5 years’ progressive experience working in Risk Management in a
complex organisation.
Deep knowledge related to Ethics and Compliance.
Demonstrated ability in drafting technical communications and writing
management reports.
Experience and demonstrated success working with and engaging senior
leadership.
Comprehensive knowledge of risk management practices and principles.
Extensive experience in risk-based internal audit with strong knowledge and
understanding of governance practices.
Strong writing and communication skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Proven ability to cultivate and maintain strong interpersonal and working
relationships in a dispersed
context.
A high degree of accountability and integrity.
Ability to use sound judgment and initiative
Ability tn identify risk areas and prescribe measures to minimize risks.
