Group Public Relations Manager/Personal Assistant to GDHL President

The position is tenable at GDHL Headquarters.

Key Duties and Responsibilitie

> As Group Public Relations Manager
> Develop GDHL and its Subsidiaries corporate image and identity
> Build long-term relationships with all relevant stakeholders
> Plan, implement and manage public relations programs
> Plan and budget for PR events, programs and initiatives
> Monitor corporate image frequently and ensure it is in compliance with company brand
> Check and manage content produced for website and social media channels
> Develop and implement PR policies and procedures
> Develop and implement crisis communications advice and media strategy, as needed
> Be a designate appropriate spokesperson the GDHL and its Subsidiaries as an information source for media inquiries
> Write press releases and prepare information for the media
> Assist and inform subsidiaries executives in disseminating information and knowledge management
> Devise advertising and promotion programs for GDHL and its subsidiaries
> Develop and carry out fundraising strategies as well as creating and planning different events that can generate donations
> Work with advertising, promotions, and marketing managers to ensure that advertising campaigns are compatible with the image GDHL and its subsidiaries
> Handle internal communications, such as company newsletters, and help\u00a0subsidiary managers produce an organization’s reports.
> Draft speeches, arrange interviews, and maintain other forms of public contact to help the organization’s top executives
> Work with the company\u2019s lawyers to be sure that the information he/she release is both legally accurate and clear to the public.

2\. As Personal Assistant to GDHL President

> Assists the President with daily administrative duties and completes a broad variety of administrative tasks that include managing an active calendar of appointments;
> Completing expense reports; composing and preparing correspondence; arranging complex and detailed travel plans, itineraries and agendas and compiling documents for meetings.
> Communicates with the senior management staff on the President’s behalf and coordinates logistics with high-level meetings both internally and externally.
> Coordinates meetings and strategic activities with the Senior Leadership Team
> Communicates directly and on behalf of the President with Board members and others on matters related to programmatic initiatives as directed.
> Drafts reports, letters of solicitation, proposals; prepares and coordinates oral and written communication with different stake holders and prospects

Qualifications, Experience and Attributes

> Must be a mature Christian with a Degree in Public Relations or Journalism and Mass Communication backed up with 5 years of proven experience of providing support for upper level management in a similar position. Those with a Degree of Masters in a relevant field will be added advantage.
> Proficiency in Windows, including MS Word, EXCEL and Power Point and fund-raising data management systems knowledge helpful.
> Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
> Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, board members and external partners
> Previous experience working with development and fundraising programs to increase funding sources for GDHL subsidiaries
> Excellent writing, editing, grammatical, organizational, and research skills.
> Excellent management, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
