Foundation for Community and Capacity Development FOCCAD is a Malawian not for
profit organization headquartered in Nkhotakota district. FOCCAD has been
contracted by World Food Program to provide technical assistance (Capacity
Support) to Salima District Council towards implementation of 2020-2021 Food
Insecurity Emergency Response Program. FOCCAD urgently looks to recruit for
the following temporary positions for a period of two months (1st February-
30th March 2021) to work alongside council staff.
Food Distribution Facilitators.
Description
The Food Distribution Facilitators will support the council staff in ensuring
proper coordination during food distribution. They will provide technical
guidance on FDP management, handling of beneficiaries during food
distribution, technical assistance on arrangement for entitlements and
coordination with FDP committees and CPCs on security and data management.
Qualifications
• Degree or its equivalent in development studies, disaster risk management,
environment or agriculture
• Experience in managing livelihoods interventions and humanitarian response
programs
• Knowledge in disaster management related issues
• Experience in food distribution programs
• Knowledge in wealth ranking and other community-based targeting approaches
• Good presentation and report writing knowledge
