2 Months–Salima field office
Foundation for Community and Capacity Development FOCCAD is a Malawian not for
profit organization headquartered in Nkhotakota district. FOCCAD has been
contracted by World Food Program to provide technical assistance (Capacity
Support) to Salima District Council towards implementation of 2020-2021 Food
Insecurity Emergency Response Program. FOCCAD urgently looks to recruit for
the following temporary positions for a period of two months (1st February-
30th March 2021) to work alongside council staff.
District Technical Officer (Logistics and Stores Management).
Description
The Logistics and stores technical officer will be the key TA provider to the
DRRO on all logistics and stores management skills and support, will support
tracking of commodities, management of waybills, handling and accounting for
balances.
The officer will be the key contact to the council on all logistics and stores
technical support required.
REPORTING TO District Operations Officer
Responsibilities
• Providing technical assistance and support to the DRRO on all logistics and
stores related support during the two months response
• Training council staff and community members on commodity handling
• Support tracking of transporters and updating all program team members on
position of commodities.
• Provide guidance on management of EDPs, FDPs stores and prepositioning
sites.
Qualification The candidate should have the following
• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply chain, logistics, procurement, business or any
other relevant field
• Three- five years’ experience in a busy NGO environment managing logistics
planning and stores management.
• Experience in humanitarian response programs including emergency food
distribution.
• Excellent computer skills
• Strong organization and communication skills
