### Job Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to take up the
following position tenable in the Corporation
POSITION PROGRAMMES & COMPLIANCE OFFICER (SGI)
GRADE ES8
REPORTING TO SOCIAL AND GENDER INCLUSION MANAGER
JOB PURPOSE
Social and Gender integration in all the Corporation’s functions, systems.
programmes and activities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES;
;
• Programmes Design and Implementation
• Planning and Implementing various SGI Capacity Building in the Corporation
• Monitoring and enforcing SGI and Anti-Sexual Harassment Policy
Implementation Framework
• Carrying out Research and Development for SGI
• Carrying out various social and gender Audits
• Maintain accurate SGI Database and profile success stories
• Compiling various periodic and activity report
• Conceptualize, design and implement various social & gender integration
programmes
• Review various Corporation’s standard documents in order to analyse and
integrate social and gender issues
• Organise and conduct capacity building on social and gender integration to
all staff
• Working with the Policy Implementation Team and Social Focal Points in
monitoring and enforcing Social and Gender Inclusion and Anti-Sexual
Harassment policy
• Monitor Social and Gender risks and mitigation measures in all ESCOM
activities including project construction sites
• Lobbying and advocacy on Social and Gender issues
• Conduct research and development activities on social and gender inclusion
• Collect and analyse social and gender related data and provide period status
on all Corporations functions
• Create and maintain an accurate and up to date Social and Gender Database
• Develop various social and gender survey and audit tools
• Compile Documentaries, Videos and success stones
• Conduct social and gender audits and impact evaluation exercise
• Prepare monitoring reports and all other relevant periodic reports
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE;
• At least first degree in Social Science, Gender and Development, or
equivalent
• Three years related experience
• Advanced certificates in Social and Gender Issues
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and highly analytical
• Strategic conceptualization skills
• Self-driven and passionate
• Highly innovative and creative
• Sound knowledge of rights based approaches to development and gender based
laws
• Strong research and data analysis, report writing and data management skills
• High computer literacy with statistical software skills
• Visuals and Video production skills
