## Job Description
The International Potato Center’s Resource Mobilization (RM) area needs a
consultant to manage selected proposals and to provide support to the RM Team
on specific strategic donor activities, research projects, and other tasks
upon request.
Objectives*> *>
> Serving as proposal manager, integrating/editing the drafts, providing focal support to proposal teams, coordinating with Lima RM Team, and ensuring quality in the proposal development process that will lead to highly competitive CIP submissions.
> Proposal Management assignments will include several proposals with a variety of donors, including the World Bank, GIZ and USAID.
Deliverables
> Several highly competitive proposals will be submitted on time to donors. These will have been vetted and approved by the Director, RM to ensure quality standards.
### Requirements
Qualifications/special skills
> Master’s degree in Applied Economics or related fields
> Specialty in fundraising
> Expertise in Proposal management, donor engagement, ability to translate agricultural issues into development proposals
> Knowledge of donor proposal requirements, especially for donors of strategic importance to CIP, including but not limited to GIZ, USAID and the World Bank.
> Ability to work with Principal Investigators and RM Team to produce high quality, competitive proposals.
> Knowledge of CIP to write specific sections of donor proposals and capacity statements as required
Expected duration and conditions
> This consultancy contract is for 30 days on a retainer basis.
> The payment is a fixed and consolidated fee based on a daily rate.
