post existing in the Parliamentary Service.

Post Assistant Security Officer (K)
Grade K/EO
Responsible to Senior Assistant Security Officer
Purpose of the Job*>
To provide a safe and secure environment for Members, Staff and property of
the National Assembly.
Duties
1. Conducts periodic patrols of the premises and residential per security standards;
2. Coordinates screening of Members, Staff and Visitors on entry and exit of the Parliamentary premises;
3. Supervises the manning of the entry points to the National Assembly;
4. Manages the surveillance cameras and the security control room;
5. Provides first aid assistance to Members, Staff and Visitors;
6. Monitors and reports any security incidences and discrepancies; and,
7. Facilitates building capacity and management of staff under his or her responsibility;
Qualifications and Experience*>
A Diploma in Security Studies with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in
the Military or Police.
