Applications are invited from suitable candidates to fill the following vacant
post existing in the Parliamentary Service.

Vacancy Number PSC/3/12/20
Post Senior Sergeant –at – Arms
Grade (H/P8)
Responsible to Principal Sergeant – at – Arms

Purpose of the Job*>
To ensure safety and orderliness within the Chamber.

Duties

i. Leads processions during ceremonial functions in the chamber;
ii. Ensures security and safety of the Chamber and Committee rooms;
iii. Liaises with State Security organs during State functions;
iv. Ensures cleanliness of the Chamber gallery, Lobby and the Committee; and,
v. Facilitates building capacity and management of staff under his or her
responsibility.

Qualifications and Experience*>
A Bachelor’s Degree in any field and those with specialization in Security
Studies shall have an added advantage. Should have served at the rank of
Major, retired from Military, and with a minimum of thirteen (13) years of
military service.
