Post Field Technician
Global Seeds Ltd – is an indigenous seed company whose mission is to provide
high quality, improved and affordable seed for the benefit of smallholder
farmers in Malawi, see www.globalseedsmw.com.
Global Seeds is implementing a 2-year project on seed production with the aim
of increasing the availability and access to improved seed to industry
players. Global Seeds seeks the services of the following
Field Technician – 4 posts – Mangochi, Mchinji, Lilongwe and Mzimba.
Duties & Responsibilities *>
Identifying, mobilizing and recruiting of contract smallholder farmers
Providing technical support to seed growers and company customers
Mounting demo fields and marketing of company products at various market
expos and events
Conduct field Inspections
Support and maintain metrics and relevant information on farm activities.
Providing realistic crop yield estimates to management.
Qualifications*>
At least a Diploma in Agriculture from recognized college and experience in
related field
Demonstrated experience of farm management and/or past work with smallholder
farmers
Valid Motorcycle license.
