### Job Description
Médecins Sans Frontières is a private, non-profit international humanitarian
organization dedicated to providing medical assistance to populations in
crisis, without discrimination and regardless of race, religion, creed or
political affiliation. In Malawi, MSF works in collaboration with the
Ministry of Health and the local community in integrated HIV/AIDS in
Chiradzulu District and Cervical Cancer projects Blantyre districts .

Position CLINICAL OFFICER- COVID RESPONSE (10 POSITIONS)

Type of contract 3 month Fixed term contract with possible extension
Start date Immediate
Main purpose of the position
Organising and ensuring medical consultations to the target population,
providing treatment to patients within the scope of their medical competencies
and referring them when appropriate, according to the MSF protocols,
procedures and the universal hygiene standards in order to guarantee quality
and efficiency of the service provided.
Main responsibilities
> Ensuring the implementation and standardization of MSF clinical policies, tools, and hygiene protocols in order to minimize clinical risks and to guarantee the quality of patient care management. Promoting and maintaining confidentiality regarding all patient cases and records;
> Implementing diagnosis, prescription and prevention procedures that fall under the scope of his/her competencies applying medical knowledge, asking appropriate questions to patients and following protocols in force as well as using laboratory services when necessary, in order to ensure a correct implementation of the medical treatments and to refer patients when appropriate;
> Providing medical care to COVID ward and implementing diagnosis, prescription and prevention procedures under the scope of competency and applying medical knowledge.
> Collect information by asking appropriate questions to patients following the protocol in force and using the laboratory services when necessary in order to ensure correct implementation of the medical treatment and to refer patients when appropriate.
> In collaboration with doctors and clinical Officers, participate during the ward rounds in the COVID wards
> Strictly following the IPC rules and precautions, educating patients and coworkers on the IPC rules, Hygiene rules and precautions
Requirements
*>
Education *> Diploma in Clinical Medicine
Language*> Local Language and able to speak English
Experience*> Essential previous working experience of at least three years
in relevant jobs.
Desirable experience in MSF or other NGOs in developing countries.
Knowledge*> Computer Literacy (Excel, Word). Must be registered with the
Medical council.
