International Christian Assembly
The International Christian Assembly is a local church of the Malawi
Assemblies of God. The ICA consists of its Congregational Ministry, Sunrise
Humanitarian Ministry and Channel for All Nations Radio and Television.
The following vacancy has arisen for immediate filling.
Title Marketing Officer
Grade S2
Department CAN Media
Location Lilongwe
Reporting Responsibility Station Manager/ General Manager
Assist in strategic Business Development and Marketing planning to raise the
profile of CAN Media nationally and building corporate connections through
campaigns that will facilitate the successful development of CANs programs
and products.
Internal Business Development & Relationship Management
• Assist the head of the Station Manager in developing appropriate marketing
plans,
strategies and maintain appropriate relationship with prospective contacts in
first stages of the marketing process;
• Help in coordinating the production of marketing materials and presentations
to
relevant market and prospective clients;
• Act as the CANs focal point on customer care;
Partnership Marketing Strategy
• Assist in developing key corporate messages and selling propositions and use
all communications in print and online;
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of all marketing campaigns against
key performance indicators, producing regular reports for stakeholders;
• Ensures that existing markets are maintained and new markets are developed
within Malawi.
Operational Market Communication
• Assist in identifying and mount effective and creative lead generation and
lead conversion initiatives utilizing appropriate marketing tactics (e.g.
promotional print, ex campaign, event advertising, direct marketing, tele-
marketing) top drive awareness and registration on interest of the ICAs non-
program offerings.
• Assist in developing a schedule of regular communications to key corporate
contacts to promote ICAs programs and services.
• Diploma in Marketing.
• A profile of experience and references.

• Good knowledge of business development policies and strategies, especially
as they relate to Media Industry
• Knowledge of sales and strong marketing skills
• Ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team of professionals
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
• Ability to work as a team member with leadership skills for coaching and
developing
employees.
• Mature and good communicator with adequate negotiating skills
• Computer literacy
