POSITION SENIOR LABORATORY OFFICER
JOB DESCRIPTION
Malawi Blood Transfusion Service (MBTS) is a Trust that was established to
provide a safe and adequate supply of blood and blood products to meet the
needs of all patents in authorised hospitals in Malawi.
It is committed to meet its objective of collecting, processing and testing
all blood from voluntary non-remunerated blood donors low-risk populations to
international standards, in a cost efficient manner.
The MBTS is seeking suitable candidates for the following post
POSITION SENIOR LABORATORY OFFICER
JOB SUMMARY
Ensure smooth running of the Component Laboratory by adhering to approved
standard operating procedures, good laboratory practice safety rules and
conditions of service for the Malawi Blood Transfusion Service. Ensure
equitable blood distribution to hospital’s blood banks.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES
•Degree in Biomedical Sciences from a recognized institution and at least 3
years work experience in a central or equivalent busy hospital or in blood
Transfusion Service
•Registered with Medical Council of Malawi
•Quality awareness and customer care skills
•Ability to build a successful team.
