Malawi AIDS Counseling and Resource Organization (MACRO)
MACRO is a locally registered Non-Governmental organisation (NGO) that was
established in 1995 to compliment government efforts in the fight against HIV
and AIDS and other health related issues. Our vision is “ A Malawian populace
that enjoys good quality of life be it physical, mental and social well-being
“and the mission is “to provide high quality HIV and AIDS and other health
related services to the Malawian population ”.
With funding from USAID, MACRO is implementing Ana Patsogolo (APA) project in
Mangochi whose goal is to prevent new HIV infections and reduce vulnerability
among orphans and vulnerable children (OVC), OVC*> caregivers and adolescent
girls and young women ( AGYW*> ) in Malawi.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced individuals
to fill the temporal position of Data Entry Clerks*> for period of 3 months
to be based in Mangochi.
Position Data Entry Clerks (2)
Qualification
> Diploma Level. Degree is added advantage
> At least 5 years’ experience in similar position
Key roles and responsibilities
> Support the management of data in the APA M&E system by sorting, collating, entering and cleaning data from OVC and DREAMS components of the program.
> Data capturing to ensure that the program clears the backlog thereby relieving the M&E staff to support in other partner activities
> Transferring data from ODK, paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards and data recorders
> Typing in data provided directly from field officers into the system in readiness for OVC
> Creating spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes
> Verifying data by comparing it to source documents
> Updating existing data as shared by APA SI
> Retrieving data from the database or electronic files as requested
> Performing regular backups to ensure data preservation
> Sorting and organizing paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost.
Final deliverables OVC and/or DREAMS Data entered, tabulated and organized
Expected outcomes Completed data sets, Data reports and Data tools security
