Company Plan International

The Organisation

Equal Measures 2030 (EM2030) is a joint effort of leading regional and global
organizations from civil society and the development and private sectors who
work together to connect data and evidence with advocacy and action on gender
equality, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We believe
that data can expose inequality and injustice, motivate change, and drive
accountability.

The partnership is a joint effort of organizations from civil society and the
development and private sectors, including Asia-Pacific Resource and Research
Centre for Women (Arrow), Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, CLADEM, Data 2X,
African Women’s Development and Communication Network (FEMNET), International
Women’s Health Coalition, KPMG International, ONE Campaign, Plan International
and Women Deliver.

Equal Measures 2030 is hosted by Plan International. Plan International is an
independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s
rights and equality for girls.

We believe in the power and potential of every child. But this is often
suppressed by poverty, violence, exclusion and discrimination. And it’s girls
who are most affected.

Working together with children, young people, our supporters and partners, we
strive for a just world, tackling the root causes of the challenges facing
girls and all vulnerable children.

We support children’s rights from birth until they reach adulthood. And we
enable children to prepare for – and respond to – crises and adversity. We
drive changes in practice and policy at local, national and global levels
using our reach, experience and knowledge.

We have been building powerful partnerships for children for over 80 years,
and are now active in more than 70 countries.

The Opportunity

In line with our new strategy, EM2030 has an exciting opportunity for a Senior
Data Capacity Lead to join our small but growing and geographically dispersed
team.

For this role we are looking for someone with extensive expertise in
quantitative data and research and a passion for gender equality and feminist
activism. You will provide leadership and vision to our data capacity
development work and aim to expand our partnership’s focus on mutual learning
and capacity development on the effective use of data in advocacy for gender
equality.

In this role the main objectives of the role will include data technical
support to help grassroots civil society organisations use data, supporting
the uptake of the SDG Gender Index and other EM2030 data and tools, and
identifying challenges and opportunities for data use amongst feminist
organisations and movements.

You will have key leadership accountabilities, managing staff and
consultancies, leading on grant and project delivery, and contributing to
resource mobilization and growth.

Equality, diversity and inclusion is at the very heart of everything that Plan
International stands for.

We want Plan International to reflect the diversity of the communities we work
with, offering equal opportunities to everyone regardless of age, disability,
gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity,
race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation.

Plan International is based on a culture of inclusivity and we strive to
create a workplace environment that ensures every team, in every office, in
every country, is rich in diverse people, thoughts, and ideas.

We foster an organisational culture that embraces our commitment to racial
justice, gender equality, girls’ rights and inclusion.

Plan International believes that in a world where children face so many
threats of harm, it is our duty to ensure that we, as an organisation, do
everything we can to keep children safe. This means that we have particular
responsibilities to children that we come into contact with and we must not
contribute in any way to harming or placing children at risk.

A range of pre-employment checks will be undertaken in conformity with Plan
International’s Safeguarding Children and Young People policy. Plan

when the applicant left employment. By submitting an application, the job
