GardaWorld Malawi seeks to engage the services of an Investigator to be based
at its Illovo Sugar Project in Nchalo, Chikwawa.
Position Investigator
Job Summary
Reporting to the Project Manager, the successful candidate shall be
responsible for investigating alleged criminal activities and build solid
cases against suspects linked to a range of crimes, including but not limited
to theft, fraud, vandalism.
Key Responsibilities
Conducting detailed investigations of complex criminal activities and other
violations on or around the Illovo Nchalo Sugar Estate and Factory;
Collecting analyzing and preserving evidence;
Directing crime scene investigators and other law enforcement personnel at
crime scenes
Employing deductive reasoning and analysis to make informed decisions and
conclusions that lead to successful prosecution;
Preparing detailed reports and maintain records
Coordinating search and arrest of suspects in liaison with law enforcement
personnel
Testifying in court or at administrative disciplinary hearings regarding
evidence and findings in order to secure conviction
Qualifications, Experience and Competencies
A minimum of Malawi School Certificate of Education Certificate (MSCE)
Police background in investigations
At least 3 years prior experience is preferred
Computer skills and proficiency is a must
Ability to prepare and present concise reports
Experience in administration of security operations, investigations, report
writing and people management skills
Ability to work irregular hours, and/or over weekends and public holidays
Critical thinking, problem solving skills
Deductive reasoning and social perceptiveness
