College of Medicine
The College of Medicine (CoM) was established in 1991 as a constituent college
of the University of Malawi. Its mission is to be an academic centre of
excellence in the training of doctors and other health professionals in
clinical service and medical research, responsive to the health needs of
Malawi and its neighbours within the Southern African region. In pursuit of
this mission, CoM is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates
to fill the following vacancies
Driver (3 Posts)
Job Summary
Reporting to the Transport Officer, the driver will be expected to drive
College vehicles in a professional manner, while observing the University
fleet management policy and regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities
These will include, but are not limited to the following
> Driving College vehicles, which includes transporting staff, students, guests and supplies;
> Maintain log book and necessary travel information;
> Operate and maintain vehicles in line with the University fleet management policy and guidelines;
> Report vehicle maintenance issues to appropriate offices;
> Ensure that vehicles are clean and tidy at all times;
> Ensure that vehicle fuel allocated is appropriately used for the intended purposes;
> Ensure vehicle maintenance and service schedules are adhered to at all times.
Qualifications and Experience*>
> Minimum of MSCE.
> Must have valid and clean PSV and Defensive Driving Licenses.
> Those with Chauffer skills will have an added advantage.
> At least 5 years’ experience driving PSV vehicles.

> Team Player
> Effective verbal and written communication skills.
> Should be neat and with sober habits
> Good interpersonal skills
> Willingness to work on weekends, Public holidays, night shifts and long hours
