College of Medicine
The College of Medicine (CoM) was established in 1991 as a constituent college
of the University of Malawi. Its mission is to be an academic centre of
excellence in the training of doctors and other health professionals in
clinical service and medical research, responsive to the health needs of
Malawi and its neighbours within the Southern African region. In pursuit of
its mission, the College of Medicine will be conducting a project titled
“Understanding and eliminating health sector corruption impeding UHC at
district level in Malawi institutions, individuals and incentives in Malawi.”
The project is seeking to employ research assistants for a period of one.
Position Description
The Research Assistant will be involved in planning the study recruitments,
data collection and documentation of study activities and related events.
Duties and responsibilities
> Recruit participants
> Ensure qualitative data is collected in a high-quality manner
> Ensure smooth and efficient operation of research and data collection
> Proactively identify challenges in the study and develop solutions
> Document research-related events and activities.
> Perform other reasonable tasks as requested.
> Participate in regular study team meetings to evaluate and plan activities
> Writing reports.
Requirements
> A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Developmental studies or related area.
> Must have qualitative and ethnographic research experience
> Possession of GCP certificate
