Head of Marketing & Corporate Communications (1)
Job Purpose
This is a senior position that reports to the Head of Consumer Banking with a
dotted reporting line to the Regional Head of Marketing and Corporate
Communications. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving
Ecobank’s marketing and communications strategic agenda in Malawi. The
individual, working cross functionally will integrate the Bank’s marketing
strategy into the overall business growth targets through an affiliate game
plan.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive the Bank’s digital marketing and communications strategy
• Deliver marketing activities that drive exceptional consumer and corporate
level engagement and exper ked by key metrics that provide insights for long
term planning.
• Ensure brand compliance to called out standards and monitor brand
performance indicators with actionable proposals, to safeguard brand health
and growth.
• Position the Bank as the employer of choice within the investor and
financial community, based on robust communication of the Bank’s unique
proposition and performance strengths.
• Provide strategic communication support to the Managing Director and other
senior executives.
• Provide guidance on all internal and external institutional communication.
• Lead annual market and brand audits to help identify growth opportunities
within the country.
• Provide practical and innovative ideas in support of the business, based on
robust consumer insights.
• Accountable for managing crisis communication and reputation risk issues.
• Drive market acceptance and penetration for all the bank’s products and
services and leading a successful execution of all ATL & BTL strategies in
line with agreed business strategy.

Experience & Qualifications
• 6- 10 years’ experience in Banking or FMCG with specific responsibility for
marketing management or business management or related field.
• Experience in marketing from an FMCG or Telcom’s will be an advantage.
• A Bachelor’s/Master’s degree preferably in Business Administration,
Marketing, or related field of study.
