Holy Family Mission Hospital (HFMH) is under Christian Health Association of
Malawi (CHAM) under the Archdiocese of Blantyre of the Roman Catholic Church.
It is situated in the south eastern part of Malawi, north of Mulanje Mountain
in Phalombe district. It was founded in 1960 by the Medical Mission Sisters of
Holland. Holy Family Hospital is inviting applications from suitably qualified
persons to fill the following vacant positions.
Job Title Dental Therapist*>
Grade K*>
Response Chief Dental Therapist*>
Responsible for *> The provision of Dental treatment to patients and oral
preventive dental work programs to the community.
#### Main Duties
1. Carrying out simple surgical extraction of teeth.
2. Scaling, polishing and filling teeth
3. Conducting health education on oral care
4. Prescribing drugs and treating patients with oral problems
5. Routinely monitor the dental services and take necessary actions to improve the services quality and oral health status of the people.
6. Conducting oral preventive dental work programs at the hospital
7. Making artificial teeth and fitting them.
8. Fitting appliances in patients’ mouth and reporting fractured dentures.
9. Re-appointing patients for further treatment.
10. Supervising the recording of data in relevant registers.
11. Any other duties assigned from time to time.

#### Qualifications
A minimum of a Diploma in Dental Therapy obtained from a recognized
institution and must be registered with the Medical Council of Malawi.
