GOAL NextGen’s Global Youth Programme brings young people together to better
understand global justice issues and their roles in advocating for them
through the lens of global citizenship. This diverse group of young motivated
change makers will be guided in their learning about the intersections between
global food systems and climate change, and supported as they collaborate to
develop awareness raising materials that help to share what they learn.

The 2021 Programme will take place online via 10 virtual seminars between
April 22 and August 12 (April 22, May 6, June 3, June 17, June 24, July 1,
July 15, July 22, July 29, August 12) . In order to ensure participation of
this global cohort, seminars will take place at 3PM Dublin time (9AM Honduras,
6PM Uganda). Over these 4 months, participants will work with peers across the
world to develop skills in critical thinking, intercultural communication,
project management, teamwork, and the fundamentals of organising and
implementing public awareness campaigns. Seminars will last between 1 and 2
hours and can be adjusted according to the needs of the group and the topic at
hand.

By taking part you will be empowered to;

> understand the diverse and interconnected nature of our world;
> critically interrogate the systems that perpetuate inequalities;
> reflect upon their own role and the role of others in tackling local and global challenges;
> engage in dialogue with others in a spirit of empathy, inclusivity, solidarity and collaboration;
> develop the courage, confidence and resilience to speak out for change;

To be considered, applicants must meet the following criteria
