Essential Duties And Responsibilities

> Assist with reviewing relevant literature and studies, existing Northern Region Water Board (NRWB), and other water boards in Malawi tariff policies.
> Collect data related to affordability analysis, willingness to pay, and tariff for potable water supply.
> Undertake stakeholder engagement for acceptability of our proposed framework.
> Carry out an orientation workshop for NRWB staff who will regularly use the tariff formulation framework and a tariff structure.
> Prepare and present a summary of the Water Supply and Sanitation Sector in Malawi.

Timing and Location

Data collection will be in the Nkhata Bay District.*> All other duties will
be remote. Proximity to the study area is preferred.

Qualifications

> Masters-level degree in Economics, Women and Gender Studies, Statistics or related fields.
> Experience in or survey design, water and sanitation policy, water pricing and structuring preferred.
> Excellent English writing and communications skills.
> Data collection experience is an asset.
> Experience working with NGOs, and Development Finance Institutions is an asset.
