Mwaiwathu Private Hospital invites applications from suitably qualified and
experienced candidates for the position of Phlebotomist tenable at the
Hospital along Chileka Road in Blantyre.
Position Context*>
The Phlebotomist will assist the Hospital laboratory team in their daily
tasks. He/She will be directly Involved with collecting samples from clients
and deliver them to responsible laboratory departments to perform required
tests. All work will be done under the direct supervision of the Laboratory
Manager.

Specific duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to
> Collection of blood samples from patients.
> Giving post puncture care.
> Ensuring that samples are labeled correctly.
> Receiving samples from wards
> Distribution of samples to laboratory sections.
> Perform any other duties assigned by the Laboratory Manager from time to time.
Educational Qualifications and Experience
> Training in phlebotomy
> Must have 2 years experience in sample collection
Requisite knowledge, Abilities and skill
> Good command of English and fluency In other Malawian local languages
> Must be a self-starter. pro-active and honest.
> Must have good communication and team working skills.
> Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision.
> Must be willing to work odd hours.
