### Job Description
Mwaiwathu Private Hospital*> invites applications from suitably qualified
and experienced candidates for the position of Registered Nurse Midwife
tenable at the Hospital along Chileka Road in Blantyre.
Position Registered Nurse Midwife
Position Context
The Registered Nurse Midwife will assist the Hospital nursing team in their
daily tasks. They will be directly involved with tending to patients. All work
will be done under the direct supervision of a licensed Hospital Matron.
Specific duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to
> > Provide safe quality nursing care in accordance with hospital standard and policies.
> Responsible for direct and/or indirect nursing care of patients.
> Practice within scope of Registered Nurse Midwife.
> Compliance of infection prevention and control standards.
> Communicate effectively with both patients and colleagues.
> Perform any other duties assigned by the Hospital Pharmacist from time to time.
> Registration with the Nurse and Midwives Council of Malawi
> Must have a good MSCE certificate including English and Mathematics.
> Must be computer literate and have three years relevant post qualification experience in a busy hospital environment
> Must be willing to work odd hours.
Requisite knowledge, Abilities and skill
> • Good command of English and fluency in other Malawian local languages
• Must be a self-starter, pro-active and honest.
• Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision
